Something a little Spooky from Wightmountain
The boys out Wightmountain have been busy cultivating a friendship with the artisan frame builder Niall Gengler who resides in New York City, NY.
Initial they were interested in his jump bikes, but have recently been getting a lot of press from their build of his Spooky Horror Taxi 650B, a lightweight cross country bike with the US 650B rims (somewhere between the standard 26 and roadie 700C). Made from Ox Platinum Steel the frame costs just under £1000 and with a full custom build it all adds up to around £2,500 – expensive but very original. The bike has been tested by Benji in latest issue of Singletrack magazine and was taken on an epic trip out to Norway.
Future projects include a Spooky cyclo cross bike entering the CC Halloween Race.
