The new season’s Island tomatoes are also now coming through. We have loose tomatoes, vine tomatoes and cherry tomatoes – and more varieties are coming soon! These toms are grown at Wight Salads in Arreton and because they’re freshly picked when we collect them, they’re burtsing with flavour. Don’t settle for the imported tomatoes still in the supermarkets – these have almost no flavour and no scent. Open a bag of Island tomatoes and they smell – OF TOMATOES!
Perk up your sarnies, start making salads, or roast a truss of vine tomatoes. There’s so much you can do with tomatoes, and they’re not expensive.
